Built in 1980 and initially extended in 1997, the Harbour Hotel has recently undergone extensive renovation by the new owners, Jamie and Karen, who took over in mid 2007.
The hotel now boasts a large open plan Public/Sports Bar which features pool, Sky Sports, digital juke box etc., while the contemporary Lounge Bar is extremely relaxing with its smart leather furniture, tasteful decor, stunning local pictures on the wall and large indoor plants and palms. The colonial theme to the lounge area is rounded off beautifully by the wooden window blinds.
The contemporary feel is continued in the Bistro/Restaurant, with its
ambient lighting and stylish new furniture and crockery. The Kitchen has seen major investment and now features a new Head Chef and expanded kitchen team. The restaurant is building a reputation for consistently high quality food produced by a skilled team, with Karen orchestrating the front-of-house
service. The Harbour also now features totally renovated and redesigned washrooms.
The extensive upgrades to the hotel have met with surprise and delight from locals and guests alike, and we hope you too will have the chance to enjoy them soon. |
